Aletheia means discovery of a world anew.

Pindar: Aletheia, daughter of Zeus

“Aletheia” has a storied history. For the ancient Greeks, it was a Goddess who personified the Truth.

Republic, Book VII

For Plato, “Aletheia” signified mankind’s revelation when they stepped outside the “cave” of the physical world, to behold the true world of Ideas.

Being and Time, 1927

For Heidegger, it meant the truth we discover when the world makes itself intelligible and meaningful to us, revealing our experience and interpretation of everything that exists.

dis: away. cooperire: to cover.

Dis·covery.

To discover is to take the cover away. Aletheia is the same gesture: a truth uncovered, revealed.

So we uncover. The talent no one has seen yet. The idea a market has not yet met. The vision a statesman has not yet spoken.
